THE STORY BEHIND DR. Z

There’s more to me than the white coat.

I’m Zoë — a family physician, wife, mother, and lifelong learner. I’ve spent my career caring for patients across generations, from pregnancy and newborn care to the everyday medicine that keeps families well. Becoming a mother added another layer to the way I see health, work, family, and the lives we’re building beyond the exam room.

Health doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Motherhood, work, relationships, culture and everyday responsibilities all shape what good care looks like.
Evidence matters. So does explaining it in a way that helps people understand their bodies and make informed decisions.
Good care starts with understanding what is actually happening in someone’s life—not just what fits neatly into a chart.
The best medicine starts with seeing the whole person.
HOW I THINK ABOUT CARE
Wife • Mother • Physician • Woman with a life beyond the white coat
Medicine matters deeply to me. So do motherhood, marriage, faith, family, culture, friendship, curiosity and joy.
I believe a full life makes me a better physician — not a less serious one.
BEYOND MEDICINE
MOTHERHOOD CHANGED ME
Becoming a mother gave me a new perspective on recovery, feeding, identity, work, partnership and what support can actually look like.

Motherhood changed the way I understand what women carry.

THE WOMAN BEHIND DR. Z
Physician. Mother. Creator. Entrepreneur. Student. Some chapters are established. Others are just beginning.

I’m still becoming — and I think that’s the interesting part.
